Living an Extravagant Life!

28 Jun

LIVEMy response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God. Ephesians 4:14-19

Have you lived an extravagant life lately?  For many Christians, the idea of extravagance is tough to come into agreement with (even though the principal is found over and over in scripture).  Somewhere along the line Christianity became a life of self abasement and drudgery for some, rather than the extravagant full life that Paul urged the Ephesians to live.  I personally know so many Christians that are so hard to be around because of this very issue.  Can the Christian life be hard sometimes?  Of course!  Is that God’s best for us?  Of course not!  God wants to see us live full lives.  Remember Jesus said that he didn’t just come to bring us life, but rather to bring us ABUNDANT life.  I don’t know about you, but I am ready for the Lord to pour a life of abundance out on me.

My prayer for YOU is that you would live a full, extravagant, abundant life…

be blessed
